Elizabeth "Liz" Odle Smith

Elizabeth "Liz" Odle Smith, Of Counsel

Attorney

Elizabeth Odle Smith has been practicing law in West Texas since 2007. During this time, Elizabeth has had a diverse and interesting practice.  Her passion is serving her clients in the areas of family law and probate law.  Elizabeth provides sage advice and wise counsel in each case, whether it’s a divorce, custody or visitation dispute, child support case, or probate matter.  She chose family and probate work because those areas of law are challenging, and people dealing with life’s toughest problems deserve a special kind of legal assistance. When a client hires Elizabeth they are hiring someone with extensive courtroom and mediation experience who helps clients navigate difficult and emotional journeys. It is a role Elizabeth takes seriously.  She gets results.

Elizabeth was raised in Denton, Texas. She graduated from Ryan High School in 1998 and received her Bachelor of Arts in Government in 2002 from the University of Texas at Austin. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Elizabeth was selected for the Americorps program where she was placed at the University of North Texas. At UNT, she worked to connect college students with area non-profits for volunteer opportunities and developed service centers in area high schools where volunteers assisted students in the college enrollment process. After completing her year of service, UNT created a full-time position for her so she could continue these important efforts.

In 2007 she graduated from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. Practicing law is a tradition in Ms. Smith’s family as both her father and sister are members of the State Bar of Texas.

Outside of the office, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband Kip and their daughter.   Kip and Liz have been raising show pigs and helping area 4H and FFA youth with their stock show projects for many years.
